I was reading my devotions this evening and I came across these verses–
Titus 3:1-2 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
As long as the earthly authorities in my life are not telling me to disobey God, I am to obey them. The part that really stuck out to me though is the last bit. Do whatever is good, slander no one, be peaceable, considerate, and gentle. As I look at the U.S.A. and the division and strife I hope that myself and my fellow believers are living that out. I fear we do not.
