Update

So it’s been a while.  Last week was actually quite eventful.  I’ve got the phone system half way done (no I haven’t documented any of yet, but I will…maybe).  Halfway meaning I can call out, but for some reason cannot receive calls.  We had a really big meeting and finally got our office/living places worked out.  Long story short I had to move yesterday from above the office (which will now become more office space) to the guys dorm.  We also had our drive in movie night for the college students.  I got started on the new Arrowhead website, but have mostly dropped that for the phone system.  I’m rambling again so I’ll stop now.

Proverbs 15:11 Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

It has Begun

All the parts are finally here for the phone system.  I got the box assembled and the hardware installed.  Tomorrow I start installing software.  I’ve decided it’s time to split this blog.  I’m going to have “personal” articles and “tech” articles.  We’ll see how that goes.  It was actually a very good day, but not a whole lot happened.

Proverbs 13:10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Contention happens because of pride.

Job 36:22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

For the Verses

I have to admit I don’t have much I want to say, but I liked the verses from my devotions so much I decided to post any ways.

Psalm 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

51:7-13 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Look what has to take place in me before sinners will be converted.

The Website is Live!!

Finally.  Check out the new BMCR website.  It went live on the 14th as planned.  What wasn’t planned (but I should have seen coming) was our e-mail outage.  We were unable to receive e-mail for half the day on Friday because I messed up (it was fixed by Friday evening though).

Today I touched up the Arrowhead website, worked on Barnard’s computer, had a meeting, and of course did a trash run.  We also started getting parts for the new phone system.  I’m really hoping to be able to get that project started tomorrow (seeing as how I’m already behind schedule).

Psalm 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

The New Website is Done (almost)

The biggest news of the day is that the new BMCR website is basically done.  Our goal is to have it live (up and running) by the 15th and I’m planning (Lord willing) to jump the gun a bit and have it going tomorrow(the 14th) after lunch (feel free to visit).  Jeramy, Tiffany, and I were up till just about midnight last nigh working on it.  I continued working on it all day today.  A few more details to take care of and I’ll be on to the Arrowhead website.  I also ordered a bunch of parts for our new phone system.  They should get here late next Tuesday so I can start putting it together on Wednesday.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

A very present help.  I know it’s just how they used to talk, but I still find it so encouraging.  When I am in trouble, when I’m struggling He is not just there with me, He is very there.

Proverbs 7:21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

Fair speech and flattery.  Things to be wary of.

Home (again)

I have to say it’s good to be back.  I love my family, it was good to see them but it was time for break to end.  The college is back in full swing, and it is good to see every one again.  I had a busy day.  Who knew the entire BMCR computer world could fall apart in three weeks?  They really should hire an I.T. guy that does a better job.  I spent the morning fixing a lot of stuff that shouldn’t have been broken.  I did a massive trash run this afternoon and also manged to get a smidge of work done on the ABC website.  Other than that not much is new.

Psalm 44:8 In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.

44:26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake.

Proverbs 5:21-23 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

I am once again reminded that I can fool myself, I can fool others, but God knows.  He sees, and my sins will find me out.  It makes Psalm 44:26 all that more important.

Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Out With the Old in With the New

The new year any ways.  That saying doesn’t hold true for a lot of other things I can think of.

Since I wrote last I haven’t touched the BMCR website, but I have figured out how to install Freeswitch.  After two days, numerous installs (of everything from operating systems, to drivers, to the actual Freeswitch software) and more time than I want to think about compiling stuff I’m 95% sure I can get the install done at camp just fine.  I’ve been thinking about putting together a howto possibly on this blog (but I haven’t decided yet).

I have also gotten some work done with my dad on the goblets and thought I would post some pictures.  I’ve blathered a lot so I’ll stop now.

Proverbs 4:10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

It just hit me, that this is what God is saying to us/me over and over again. Hear, and receive. How frustrating it must be for Him to watch us merely listen.

The block became a cylinder.
It almost looks like a goblet!
The cylinder looses some weight.
