I Don’t know What to Title This One

We soldier on.  This week we’ve got Trinity Lutheran (I think they are 8th graders) and the Evangelical Churches D.O.W. (Denominational Orientation Week) all at once.  It’s busy, and wet and cold, but summer staff have started trickling in, and we’ve had enough help.  Summer staff officially start this coming Monday, so that is good.  I got a hair cut last night and that has been wonderful.  This week I’ve done nothing but get ready either for the two camps we’ve got, or summer staff housing so it’s been very busy.  I’m rambling thought, so I’ll stop now.

John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

I want to be able to say this about the things I do. (By the way “hitherto” means “thus far” or “up until now”).

John 5:39-40 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Scripture is insufficient to give me eternal life, only Christ can do that. I must never believe the lie that knowledge/correct theology is what saves me.

Summer has (Offically) Started

So naturally it snowed.  It rained all day, but it did snow for a while, and we may actually get some accumulation tonight.  Outdoor Education Science Camp started this afternoon, and so far so good.  No one lost any teeth during floor hockey, and Jeramy did a good job during chapel.  We shall see what tomorrow has in store.

Psalm 94:10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? He that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

God disciplines those He loves (I can’t remember the exact reference, but I’m pretty sure it’s in Proverbs). He chastises the heathen. Would that not imply that He loves them?

John 2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

And He died for me/us any ways. I don’t think I will ever understand this one thought. It makes no sense to me.

Busy

Last week was long.  I got the carpets in both dorms shampooed, we got all the closets, dressers, and garbage out, and the bunks back in.  I then spent most of the day Friday cleaning the Bears Tooth.  As a side note I want to say “thank you” to this years college gals, that was the cleanest carpet I think I’ve ever cleaned.  This weekend I did nothing of value, and it was glorious.  The weather was nice up until today, we need the moisture though so I’m not complaining.  Tomorrow and Tuesday the rumor is 14 inches of snow so that should make camp exciting.

John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in his name.

I can’t help but feel like this should blow me away, yet I don’t really comprehend it.

The Calm (relative) Before the Storm

So Arrowhead 2011 is officially done.  The student’s graduated on Friday, and for the most part have taken off.  We have this week to change the dorms over, and next week is our first camp Outdoor Education Science Camp (just in case your wondering).  I’ve moved from the guys dorm to the summer staff trailer I’ll be occupying this summer.  I’ve also started cleaning carpets in the dorms.  I can hopefully have that done by this Wednesday so we can start putting bunks together.  Not much else is new.

Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
