{"id":182,"date":"2010-08-16T20:45:34","date_gmt":"2010-08-17T02:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.michel2010.name\/blog\/?p=182"},"modified":"2010-08-16T20:45:34","modified_gmt":"2010-08-17T02:45:34","slug":"an-end-and-an-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.michel2010.name\/eric\/2010\/08\/16\/an-end-and-an-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"An End (and an accident)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The summer is done, and as sad as I am to see most of the summer staff go, I am also glad. \u00a0Things can slow down, I can get some rest, and college students are coming. \u00a0We went up the mountain yesterday, and three of us decided to bike down. \u00a0Only one of us made it the whole way. \u00a0Jeremy blew both his tires, I wiped out in some gravel, but Grant made it. \u00a0I hit pretty hard, and I&#8217;m sore today. \u00a0Here is a picture of my new &#8220;battle scar&#8221; (a.k.a. monument to my stupidity).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_183\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-183\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.michel2010.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/ouch.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-183 \" title=\"Ouch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.michel2010.name\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/ouch-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"There's a hole in my arm!\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-183\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">There&#39;s a hole in my arm... oops.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That was the worst one. \u00a0Most of the rest of it is road rash (though I got it on my shoulders, back and head). \u00a0I do have to say mountain biking down a mountain is a lot of fun. \u00a0It&#8217;ll be a while before I try again though (maybe next summer).<\/p>\n<p>Psalm 138:8  <em>The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I am the work of His hands.  That almost seems sacrilegious.
